According to the Office of National Statistics (ONS), an estimated 149.3 million working days were lost because of sickness or injury in the UK in 2021, equivalent to 4.6 days per worker, and unfortunately sickness and absenteeism rates continue to rise.

HR managers are also familiar with the challenges involving presenteeism and whilst corporate wellness policies continue to be a hot topic amongst companies, there is an increased demand for wellness webinars to be rolled out across workforces.

Having worked in the world of healthcare for many years, I have been all too familiar with the struggles of juggling a healthy work-life balance, and the negative implications impacted by stress, insomnia and fatigue affecting one’s overall health and well-being, in the workplace and at home.
